Opened in 2005, Codalunga is a section of Nico Vascellari’s studio in Vittorio Veneto, a 29.000-inhabitant town isolated in the northeast of Italy, publicly opened in order to host exhibitions, performances, and experiments by other artists in a context not so open to the contemporary cultural debate.
Proudly independent and always self-funded, during these years Codalunga has hosted over 200 events of artists such as Charlemagne Palestine, Jimmy Durham, Enzo Cucchi, William Basinski, Black Dice, Arto Lindsay, Prurient, Ghedalia Tazartes, John Duncan, Banks Violette, Ari Marcopoulos, Mat Brinkman, Diego Perrone, just to name a few, and it has become worldwide a cultural reference point.
